I really enjoyed having him come in today to talk with us about the structure of a computer. I learned about the memory boards and the insides of the computers. I learned how to effectively clean a laptop and the inside of a modem.

So, my major is Marketing and i thought that it would be interesting to know alittle more about the Spurs and who markets certain things that they have at the AT&T.

Presentation

On Tuesday April the 8th, I am going to be doing my presentation on my major which is Marketing. I will give a list of why I chose the major that I did and certain classes that I enjoyed the most. I will also give a list of teachers that the kids should take and the ones that they shouldn't take.

PowerPoint Presentations

Something that really gets me are horrible PowerPoint presentations. Here are a list of things that you should think about before creating/presenting Presentation:

1) You need to be passionate about your presentation
2) Make sure to keep the presentation short
3) Make eye contact with group
4) Keep it simple
5) DON'T READ SLIDES
6) Have a visual theme
7) Use of appropriate charts
8) Use color well
9) Choose the correct font

I hope this list will help everyone when preparing/creating a PowerPoint presentation.

Internet Research

Mr. Nolan came in and spoke with the class today about how to use the internet for research. I learned some new ways on how to search certain subjects on google by using the advanced search. I was able to pick up some new tricks that he uses that I know is going to help me later on in research for school. I was glad that he came in when he did since I have a paper to write really soon.

PowerPoint

I have been using PowerPoint since I was in 8th grade. It is something that I know I will be using for the rest of my life. I learned from class how to link to powerpoint, some kind of document from Microsoft Office. I also learned many new tricks that are going to be helping with my my new job at Enterprise. My presentations were subpar, but I believe now that I will be able to have an effective presentation when presenting to my coworkers. I think that by having a simple presentation and effective graphs as well as visual aids, it can help your presentation.

Previous Computer Experiences

As a young man growing up in a fast paced technology world, my father wanted me to learn the ins and outs of Microsoft as fast as I could. He made me read books on Microsoft as well as other programs that would be beneficial to him and working at the farm and office. I learned as much as I could in High School and now that I have been away from the farm for awhile, I really haven't had the opportunity to be working on Excel and other programs like I use to. I really hope that I can learn the shortcuts and be able to remember what I had previously learned.

Computers and Me

As long as I can remember I have been using a computer. I believe that I have been using a computer since I was at least in 5th grade. (That is when my parents would allow me too) So technology has come a long way since 1996. I really like Dell (well, I guess I have to since laptops these days are so expensive). I am still old fashion and use Microsoft 2003. I can not access my Y drive at home, but I am always at the Library and I am able to access it there. Things that I like to do on the computer are: surfing the internet, emailing friends and making sure not to loss touch with them, and also check up on all the news that is happening around the world. I can not access the Y drive from my home computer, but I am always at the Library when I need to use my Y drive. I look forward to learning new tricks on saving files to folders, web page ideas, as well as other useful information that is going to make my life on the computer a lot easier.

Hey everyone. My name is Max Schuster. I am a senior here at Trinity. So far my four years here have been awesome. I have made many friends and have had some great experiences. I am majoring in Marketing and will soon be headed home after graduation.





Background:


I am from a small town of a little over 14,000 people called Alamo, Texas. I was born in Waco, Texas and moved as soon as I was born to the Rio Grande Valley. I have lived there my entire life. I grew up on a small farm where we use to raise cattle. We are currently raising exotic wildlife and that is what I have to look forward to whenever I return. I am getting married on June 28th, so Iam really looking forward to that as well.
